Yes, you will need to create an account to start the application process. This is only creating an account for the mortgage process, it is not a checking or savings account with Southside Bank. Creating an account and signing in allows you to save your work and complete the mortgage application later if you are not able to complete it in one sitting. Once you create and sign in to your mortgage application account, you will be directed to complete your application.
For convenience, you have the option of authorizing your credit to be run as part of the online application. If you authorize us to run it through the online process, we will run it once you submit the application to us.
Our turnaround times are typically under 30 days from the time we submit your loan to processing. Your loan is submitted to processing shortly after you confirm your intent to proceed and you provide us certain basic information, such as your income and asset documentation, as applicable. If you are in a purchase situation with specific time pressures, we make every effort to close within your timeframe so you won’t miss your closing date. Our lenders will always let you know upfront if it’s reasonable to close your loan within your specified timeframe.
